We are soon rolling out a big change to how projects work in Flowcase
We are soon rolling out a big change to how projects work in Flowcase.
Previously, when you added a project experience to your CV, it was linked to the reference project only through matching names. If either the customer name or project name changed in the system, your CV entry would lose its connection to the source - requiring manual updates to keep everything aligned.
Going forward, any official project you add to your CV will remain synchronized with its reference project. The project data will appear as read-only in your CV, automatically reflecting any updates made to the source project. This ensures your CV always displays consistent, up-to-date information without requiring you to track down and manually update changes. Of course, you can still add details that are specific to your specific contribution to the project. To make custom adjustment, the user can choose to un-link the project, or re-link at a later stage.
What is changing in the user interface?
Previously, we redesigned how users add new projects to their CV, giving more focus to the official company projects.

Changes in the project experiences:
If you select an official project, the project will automatically get all the data from the official source, and it will be kept up to date with the official data - continuously, without any need for a manual push. Employees still fills in their personal contribution, like their role, role description and skills used in the project. They can even select their own date duration if that is different from the official duration of the project.

If the user wants to do more deviations from the official project, they can always remove the data sync, and do as many adjustments as they want. If they regret, they can link it back. No risk, just more consistent and higher quality data.

Can I still do changes in proposals?
Yes, just unlink the project in the proposal if you need to do any proposal specific adjustments.
What do we as a company have to do?
You don’t really have to do anything, as with every feature we make, we spend a lot of time to make the changes as easy for your company to introduce as possible, it should just work out of the box, natural and intuitive for your users. As little change management as possible required.
